Transition for Parents Program
'Helping parents transition back into themselves and careers once their baby is at school'

The year has begun, the kids are bedded down in their new classrooms, the tears have been spilled, you're no longer needed between 9.00am and 3.30pm....what now?

Whether you've continued your career during their preschool years, taken a break, want to change direction or are  generally unsure about who you are and what your skill set is, this is the program where you will answer the below questions for yourself?

So how do we answer these questions?
  • A pre-workshop survey that helps the facilitator cater to your individual needs
  • Through hands on, practical exercises on the 'hot' topics
  • Facilitated discussions
(with an experienced facilitator who is also a Working Parent and going through this process)
  • Giving ourselves the time and head space to actually think about the answers
  • Using guided and structured goal setting methodologies
  • Ensuring each participant is accountable for their goals and next steps

In conjunction with working out the whats and the hows we are also providing some practical support on:
  • Resume writing
  • Interview skills refreshment
  • Cover Letters
  • Key Selection Criteria
  • New technologies/platforms for job searching

When:
Over 3 sessions to ensure you get time to think in-between and build new friendships/networks along the way
1. Monday 16th February 9.30 - 1pm
2. Monday 23rd February 9.30 - 1pm

(Job Readiness Session, incl: resumes, interview practice etc)
3. Monday 2nd March 9.30 - 1pm

"There is nothing like returning to a place that remains unchanged to find the ways in which you yourself have altered." Nelson Mandela (1918 - 2013 ), 'A Long Walk to Freedom'

Not sure if the program will help give you confidence, help you set goals and start achieving them?

Trust me, it WILL so here's what past participants have said who have completed our similar program, The Working Parent Resilience Program run by Debbie and The Edge Coaching and Training say:

"It was great to have time to rethink where I'm headed and to meet people in a similar position. The pace of the course was good too, faster than other courses I've done and kept my interest more this way. Thank you!"

"Debbie is a warm, engaging and inspirational trainer. Her personal experience and professional tool kit combined to make an interactive and motivating workshop. I attended Debbie's parenting Resillence one-day workshop and it was just what I needed- that motivational and inspirational kick up the butt to take back control of my life. Because in the end the choice and power is all mine! Thank you for the reminder Deb!"
Lisa Schaffer, Schaffer Group, attendee at The Working Parent Resilience Program July 2013

"Excellent program - it exceeded my expectations. It was fun, informative and very motivating.
Debbie was a terrific facilitator, she was both candid and inspiring. She really helped me shift my perspective on being a working mum."

"The Working Parent Resilience Program is a great workshop which is suitable for all working parents with young or school aged children. Debbie Marks is a good facilitator who is honest about her own parenting experiences and enables participants to share."
